Summer carrom at Delhi's Chittaranjan Park

Rain or shine, summer or winter, the carrom boys of Chittaranjan Park in south Delhi meet every evening for intense battles in the board game. Sometimes they bet money. The crowd increases as the evening turns into night. Quite often groups of people would be seen standing in a circle around the players under bright yellow lights. The high pitch tak tak that the red striker makes when it hits the sidewall of the wooden carrom board can be heard over the shouts of men calling for customers at a fish market a few steps away. It's good entertainment.
