Homes on the outskirts of Kolkata

It is pointless to look at Indian cities in black and white. More than any other country India has the most vibrant colours for flaneurs to enjoy.

A quick walk to any direction from where you are, and it is quite likely that you would be rewarded with a range of colours to see on the streets. This is true of homes, especially in smaller towns and cities in India, where the range of colours that people use to coat their homes are usually very bright. Even old homes with faded paint would still be able to tell you that they were full of happy colours once. Dull was never a part of their existence. And that is a good thing.
