Cycling in Delhi

In Delhi, if you took a proper look from the backseat of your car in any season, rain or shine, you can play a sort of game during your long commute everyday - count the number of cyclists.

Most of them pedal silently on the safe side of the road, barely touching the drain with great skills. Some will, however, be seen going fast right on the middle of the road or the fast lane itself, and they are not necessarily the "live fast, die young" type. Old men and women would be seen pedalling on Delhi's busy outer ring road that serves as a thoroughfare for both Gurgaon and Haryana, which surrounds the national capital.

Among the sea of fancy cars, necessity is the mother of cycling.
