People celebrate Durga Puja at Dignagar village in West Bengal.

The abandoned plant of Tata Motors Ltd which was supposed to make the entry-level hatchback Nano, in Singur, en route to Kolkata, early October 2016. The bulldozers (seen here) completed removing most of the concrete surface and preparing the top soil for agriculture by late October (at the time of posting this). West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee has said some land is yet to be given back to farmers pending ownership verification.
